CUBAN PEOPLE AND CUSTOMS
Cuban
people are very cultivated.
They love cinema, theatre plays, reading and all kind of cultural
expressions. Cuba has contributed to the international culture
with important writers, thinkers, dancers, musicians, painters,
poets and singers. Cuban craft is very interesting and rich
of work in leather, vegetable fibres, wood, stone, metal and
sea products.

art galleries and cinema, where everyone can enjoy national
and world plays of all times.
Cuba is the seat for important international events such as
the Ballet Festival, Plastic Arts Biennales, popular music festivals,
the International Exhibition of the New Latin American Cinema,
among others. You can enjoy all these choices at very low prices;
for instance, going to the theatre costs around 5 Cuban pesos
(15 US cents/ Euros)
Religions
Cuban state was declared as atheist since the revolution in
1959 until 1998, in which its status changed to be "non-confessional".
There is freedom for any belief and it is important highlighting
the influence of an African religion called "santeria"
(yoruba, lucumi, etc).

Cubans laughs about theirselves and circumstances surrounding
them, and they take any event of the day to make a funny story.
It is common to see plays of this kind in theatres, and you
can find groups of humorists in bars or restaurants making you
laugh becoming the night in a more pleasant one.
