Clothes
In
Cuba is better to wear sport clothes. It is recommended to
wear cotton t-shirts, shorts pants and sandals to be more
comfortable. During winter season, which could be considered
as a less intense summer, we recommend having a sweeter, mainly
to use it at nights. Synthetic clothes are not recommended
because they use to maintain humidity in the body.
Don't
forget travel with your sunglasses, bathing suit and sun protection,
because in Cuba there is an endless summer.
For going
to a theatre, restaurant or simply enter in the cinema, you
must know that entry is forbidden if wearing shorts pants
or short sleeves t-shirts.
Food
Cuban food, know as "criolla" has a mixture of Spanish
and African food. It's made with dishes such as rice and beans,
called "moros y cristianos", fried or roasted pork
with a special sauce, lobster, shrimps, a root called "yuca",
which is delicious, among other very tasteful dishes.
In restaurants, all these Cuban dishes could be tasted at
reasonable prices, although you can have also international
food, pizzas, etc. In some restaurants, they have a set of
complete menus called "descargas" or "tables".
There are small and private restaurants called "paladares"
for around 20 persons, offering typical Cuban food.
Security
in Cuba
Cuba is a very safe country, with a low criminality rate.
Tourists are well received. Besides, for your security, there
are policemen who are willing to help you if needed. Policemen
use to be young men.

There is no need to be vaccinated before traveling to Cuba.
Most of hotels have medical services 24 hours a day, with
doctors and nurses. In the main cities, there are specialized
clinics for tourists.
Although water is potable everywhere, it is recommended to
drink bottled water or using potables pills, thus avoiding
to get a tropical disease. Your body must not be immunized
from bacteria there.
Its recommended also to travel with a first aid kit where
you include (it can be apply for any kind of trip) antibiotics,
pills to cure diarrhea, and take the whole kit with your hand
